It is the desire of FBA to glorify our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in every endeavor.

 
God’s Word commands us to “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” – Matthew 28:19-20

We believe that at the heart of this all-encompassing commission is the responsibility to teach all Christians the doctrines of the faith and to train them into spiritual maturity. In the Old Testament, parents were commanded to continually and diligently teach their children the words of the Lord. In the New Testament, fathers are admonished to bring up their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. It is the
responsibility of every parent to teach and train their children in accord with the Word of God. Fellowship Baptist Academy exists to aid the parents in the training of their children and to aid the church in the training of Christians. We desire to see young people attain the highest calling that can be afforded to an individual – to be servants of Jesus Christ! Our school’s identity can be summed up by the following four distinctives:
  • Bible-based
    The Bible is not solely a subject that will be taught along with Math or English, but it is the foundation for everything that we do. There will be scripture reading each morning and Bible preaching every day. Students will be given the opportunity to memorize portions of God’s Word throughout the school year and our curriculum will be saturated with Biblical truth. God’s Word is the final authority for all matters pertaining to faith and practice. We love the Bible!
 
  • Family-oriented
    It is our conviction that parents are ultimately responsible for the training of their children. The school will never replace the home from God’s perspective. The goal of FBA will be to supplement the Biblical training provided at home by parents. Parents will be encouraged to help their children develop a meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ and to use their God-given talents and gifts to serve the Lord with their lives. There will be opportunities for parents to meet with school staff to discuss the spiritual and academic progress made by each child. We want the family involved!
 
  • Character-focused
    FBA intends to impact the heart of each student. Reaching the heart will guarantee that the mind will be reached as a byproduct. Students will be taught self-discipline, respect for authority, and the importance of following instructions; however, outward conformity will not be the ultimate end. We desire to see God do a work in the heart of each student that enrolls at FBA. Since this is a supernatural endeavor that we cannot achieve on our own, we trust that God will do this work as we place our dependence and expectation upon Him. Each day will begin in prayer and students will be taught a multitude of Biblical character traits that God is able to reproduce in their lives. We desire to see lives changed!
 
  • Individually-designed
    We realize that each student is an individual with a variety of talents, strengths, and interests. We are excited about helping parents identify and develop these unique qualities. Each student will be viewed as an individual with a specific calling upon his/her life. As these unique qualities are realized, each student will be given opportunities to exercise and develop these qualities while at school. Students will be encouraged to use their gifts at home, at church, in school, and in the public arena. We believe in training individuals!
